I thought I’d give you a wee look at what I like Hogmanay – or New Year’s Eve for any non Scots.
Hogmanay is another one of those celebrations that I love! I mean I’m an events students so Amy event I love really.

But Hogmanay is one that I have always enjoyed even as a kid I wanted to walrus’s stay up and watch Jackie bird on tv and stay up as late as I could.

Then when I got older I loved a good house party with all of my friends, having Champagne at the bells. I loved having all friends in love and bringing in the new year together
I guess it’s a good one for me as I do think about the past a lot and I am a very reminiscent at person. So saying goodbye. To one year and hello to another one, always feels quite therapeutic for me.

I enjoy getting dressed up, putting on the heels, getting the sparkly makeup out. It’s not something I do often, dressing up nice, so Hogmanay almost feels a bit speacial.
I love doing all the traditional things that happen at Scottish New Years Eve : singing Auld Lang Syne and Lochlomonod etc.

This year me and the boyfriend went out to a local club and had a pop punk karaoke night. Which was fun, we both enjoy karaoke and pop punk is a good genre (I think) it was a fun night with a. Lot of good music, and a good live band.
It was nice brining in the new year together as we have for the last 5 years.

One year I’d love to go celebrate it in Edinburgh as it’s one of the biggest parties in Scotland at this time of year.
Or go to ceildth, I think that would be a lot of fun.
Or even just go away for a wee weekend to Iceland (it’s that where people go at new year to watch the northern lights?)

Basically I like Hogmanay its is another part of the festive period that I love and want to keep enjoying and celebrating in the coming years
